The customer approached us looking for a single bank of 7 deep push back rack by 9 bays long, 4 pallets high for a total of 504 pallet positions. We spun the rack 90 degrees and offered a back to back run by 5/6 deep and a run of 7 deep all x 4 bays wide x 4 pallets high for a total of 572 pallets.
We were able to provide:
- Operationally a better solution
- Was able to bury the building column
- Better selectivity, more SKUs – 96 versus 72
